Filmvisning og samtale med Power Paola
Tilde Filmklubb inviterer til visning av animasjonsfilmen Virus Tropical. Filmen er basert på den grafiske romanen med samme tittel, av tegneserieforfatter og illustratør Power Paola. Det blir også en (digital) samtale/intervju med filmskaperen i forkant av filmvisningen.
Tilde Filmklubb er en ideell organisasjon som jobber for å fremme film på spansk i Norge. De arrangerer ESCENA - Oslo Ibero-amerikanske filmdager på Vega Scene, 2.-5. desember.
Som en del av programmet viser de animasjonsfilmen Virus Tropical:
Born in a not-so-conventional family, Paola grows up between Ecuador and Colombia and finds herself unable to fit in any mold. With a unique feminine vision of the world, she will have to fight against prejudice and struggle for her independence while her universe is struck by a series of crises.
Adapted from graphic novelist Power Paola’s memoir, Virus Tropical is simultaneously a domestic saga (maybe influenced by the telenovelas to which it makes the odd ironic nod), portrait of an artist as a put-upon youngest child and a chronicle of a maturing South America.
The event will be introduced by a conversation with the author of the graphic novel and art director of the film Power Paola.
