Grafill Grafisk Design: Type Design
We are happy to start off the new year with an evening dedicated to type design.
We have invited three type foundries from Oslo who will discuss their work, and give insight into the world of type design.
It is easy to associate type design with the creation of retail fonts, custom typeface commissions, font revivals, and the like — it is harder to imagine the labour, insight, consideration and skills needed to perform this work. Robin Mientjes of Tiny Type Co, Frode Helland at Monokrom Skriftforlag, and Ellmer Stefan of The Pyte Foundry will present their type design practices for twenty minutes each, followed by a Q&A session.
The event is organised by Grafill Grafisk Design.
It's free, open to all, and will be in English and in Norwegian.
