Guro Røberg will be hosting our conference

Superwoman Guro Røberg is the perfect guide for this year's conference program. The European Design Festival speakers all do work that truly challenge the way we think and feel - about design, sustainability for the future and even life in general. These are all subjects that Guro knows and cares deeply about and she will be thinking aloud with us throughout the conference. Get ready for an inspiring tour of great contemporary illustration, design and thinking.

Guro Røberg is an economist from Copenhagen Business School and currently works as Strategic Design Lead at Designit in their Oslo office. After almost a decade in Copenhagen, New York and Singapore her mindset, network and approach to design is truly global. She returned to Norway to work with Netlife, where she focused on UX, technology and strategy. She is an active communicator of design and frequently holds lectures, workshops and courses on the impact of design.

Designit is a worldwide strategic design firm. They work with ambitious brands to create high-impact products, services, systems and spaces – that people love. Because what matters to people, matters to business. The Oslo office has been around in Norway since 2007, and they have been growing rapidly in the last few years. Today, the office is one of the largest within Norway’s design industry, and we are happy to have them on board the Guided Studio Tour (sold out!) on Friday.

The European Design Festival programme is jam-packed with all kinds of activities catering to different needs, tastes and desires. Whether you’re more of a techy design geek or a lover of fine art illustration: pick and choose to put together your own perfect itinerary. We especially recommend the truly magnificent conference line-up on Saturday 2 June. Saturday night we throw an amazing party in the city’s coolest harbour venue for all local and visiting creatives to celebrate this year’s European Design Award winners.
