Bergen Kjøtt

In 2012 three artists from Bergen visited the Tokyo Art Book Fair, looking for inspiration. They got more than they bargained for and were inspired to start their very own version: Bergen Art Book Fair (BABF).
The first annual BABF was held at Bergen Kjøtt in November 2013. And now, we follow up with the second annual BABF.

BABF is a collaboration between Bergen Zines, Grafill Bergen, Drabant, and Bergen Kjøtt. BABF is an international three-day art book and self publishing festival, focusing on both art and design. The fair will, in addition to hosting publishers and exhibiting publications, also have lectures and workshops related to self publishing, book aesthetics and concepts.

BABF is held at Bergen Kjøtt, an old meat factory building transformed into an international venue for music and arts. The fair will take place on the 2nd floor, and there’s a cafe on the 1st floor. During the festival there will be performances by artists located at Bergen Kjøtt.

Most Beautiful Norwegian Books 2014
The exhibition of the winners of Norway's most beautiful books of 2014, organized by Grafill, will be taking place at the Bergen Public Library with a lecture by Yokoland at the opening night a week before the fair. The exhibition will be available until late December.
