Atelier Dyakova is an award-winning visual communication agency in London. The studio creates brand identities, publications, packaging, spatial and digital design for forward-thinking brands and international cultural industries. Prior to establishing her own practice, Sonya worked with the iconic British designer Alan Fletcher at Phaidon Press, where she was responsible for the design of books, ranging from contemporary art, design and architecture to photography and food. Her approach is firmly rooted in conceptual and typographic experimentation developed through research with attention to tactile details. Sonya was responsible for the re-design of Frieze magazine as well as design & art direction of Frieze Masters publication. In 2011 she received a Grand Prix from the Tokyo Type Directors Club. She is a member of AGI, Alliance Graphique Internationale. Sonya assisted Hauser & Wirth as a consultant creative director for two years and currently continues to work with the gallery on a variety of projects. Current clients include Noma, David Zwirner, Stephen Friedman Gallery, Gagosian, Studio Adel Abdessemed, Galerie Nue Berlin, Fondation Cartier, The Fitzwilliam Museum, Victoria Miro, Archizoom, and Lemaire.
