The London Illustration Fair sets out to showcase, support and champion the biggest and best, most creative and downright inspiring Illustrators, collectives, companies, galleries, and creative start-ups making an impact in the scene today. The artists are given creative freedom to engage, enrich and inspire their audience, sell you their goods and just generally have a good time!
Create your own illuminated letterform with Gilles & Cecilie Studio. Taking as a starting point the art of Illuminated manuscript (the artistic decoration of hand-written texts), you will be provided with a selection of letterforms printed onto high-quality drawing paper, onto which you may use the available materials to illustrate or the story of your letterform. Originally these letters used to be embellished with animals, plants and mythological creatures, themes you may continue with and create a modern version of or chose a theme of your own.
Suitable for all audience interested in typography, illustration, graphic art collage and creating a single image based on a story or theme.
