Lars Müller, born in Oslo in 1955 and a Norwegian citizen, has been based in Switzerland since 1963. After becoming a graphic designer in Zurich, extended travels, and a one-year assistant position with designer Wim Crouwel in Amsterdam, Müller established his studio in Baden/Switzerland in 1982.
Analogue Reality
In his lecture Lars Müller poses the hypothetical question of to what extent we can renounce physical and analogue experiences without losing our sense for reality. The real-time experience as a sensual sensation has gone out of style. It is about time to get it back. The new avant-garde is analogue.
Lars Müller Publishers is an internationally active publishing house based in Zurich, Switzerland. It came into being in 1983, as a result of the bibliophile passion of designer Lars Müller.
