Cecilie is a creative director and works as an illustrator/ graphic artist together with Gilles Jourdan in Gilles & Cecilie Studio. Based in London. Works internationally. Gilles & Cecilie studio provides illustration, graphic design, art, installation, animation and wallpainting. They are a small independent team and collaborate with creatives and clients from all over the world. Clients include: Moleskine, Paul Smith, Harvey Nichols, Nissan, Unicef, the Guardian, Røde Kors Oslo and Le Monde. She has a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins and a Master of Management from Norwegian Business School (BI). Before starting Gilles & Cecilie Studio she worked as junior designer in SDG (Scandinavian Design Group, Oslo), bookbinder at the Wyvern Bindery in London and illustrator for a series of animations for Nickelodeon TV. In addition to her design practice she has been involved with educational projects since graduating from Central St. Martins running workshops, talks and curricular programs for colleges and universities including St. Martins, Winchester School of Art, the CASS, Parsons New School, London College of Communication. Passionate about drawing: She founded the Travelling Drawing Club together with Gilles in 2011 for the purpose of spending a dedicated time only to observe and draw an object or landscape. With the aim to meet new people and old friends on their travels. In general Cecilie aim to use her creative skills and mindset to find better, simpler, creative solutions on problems that surrounds us whether at home, at work, in our community or in the world.
