In this workshop participants will be asked to create a typeface utilising restrictions. We will be looking at the possibilities of building up elements to quickly create and set the basis of typefaces  — a notion that is able to be applied throughout type design. We will also look at how working with physical materials can be utilised to give a basis of understanding type drawing. The workshop requires no knowledge of type design or software. We will be working separately, creating type by hand primarily — not necessarily in a calligraphic way —but utilising systems with physical objects and materials. At the end of the workshop, we will evaluate the results with the group. One-to-one mentoring will be provided throughout. It would be useful if participants are able to bring their own laptop.

Colophon is an independent type foundry set up by London-based design studio, The Entente (Anthony Sheret & Edd Harrington). As well as distributing and acting as a platform for fonts designed by The Entente, it selects fonts designed by other designers to distribute and create products for.

A workshop that will explain and practice the creative process for creating a paper “still life” hand-made. We will begin with an explanation of any similar case as an introduction to the process, and then move to the conceptualization, implementation of the sketch, the construction and the actual composition of the same. There will be a still life group, and once done it will phase and subsequent photographic retouching of the final image. Each attendee must record or photograph their own process as a “making-of” as we usually do in the studio, so you can have a record of the process itself that has followed.

Serial Cut™ is a Spanish design studio established in Madrid in 1999 by Sergio del Puerto that focuses on art direction for international advertising projects; it makes slick, clean and bold images - using real tactile sets or 3D - and typography has an important role; and in an updated visión, pop culture, luxury and surrealism are all encompassed.

Her dreamlike and cleverly humorous paintings and drawings traditionally feature anthropomorphic flora and fauna in darkly fantastical narratives. Using acrylic paint or graphite pencil on a various found canvasses, Femke's work is shown at galleries in the US and Europe. She now calls the laid back Dutch capital Amsterdam her hometown.

I was born in Zaanstad in 1974, a commuter town close to Amsterdam (The Netherlands). I grew up living nearby fields where I would roam the dredged ditches in search of stone pipe heads or animal skeletons. If I wasn’t building tree houses or rafts I would stay home and eat liquorice and drink buttermilk, read my Dad's (‘Robbedoes’) comic mags from the 60's, my Little Golden Books or the overfilled picture books of Richard Scarry or draw horses and birds of prey on pink paper. Today I live and work in Amsterdam, the laid-back Dutch capital.

A few years ago I gave up being a full time illustrator to become a full time artist. At my home studio I create mixed media paintings and black and white graphite drawings about card playing snowmen, lollipop ship captains, giant strawberry wrestlers and Halloween gods with lantern eyes. I often work on vintage objects such as boxes and wrappers, to create imaginary products with magical properties, surrealistic works that invite you to enter the world that lies inside.

Stir er et lite, men ambisiøst animasjonsstudio bestående av 4 ansatte. Uansett utgangspunkt, tilpasser vi alltid virkemidler og animasjonsstil til den retningen vi mener kommuniserer best for kunden. Vi har sterk teknisk kompetanse på alt fra fotorealistisk 3D, til ren, grafisk 2D animasjon. Stir velger virkemidler utifra valgt konsept, og fullfører konseptet ned til minste detalj.

Under studio crawlen vil Axel Lavin og Stian Korntved mixer visuelle godbiter live til Christian Sol sine låter. Det vil bli servert diverse drikke, blandt annet noe egenprodusert.

Bandet med det fantastiske navnet Hubbabubbaklubb kommer og spiller på prisutdelingen. Bandet, som består av Pål Ulv, Edvard, Ollis, Andre Bratten og Joystick Jay, har nylig sluppet en tospors EP med låtene 'Lille Svanse' og 'Mopedbart'. Det er bare å glede seg!
