Nominert i World Illustration awards
Mens hele bransjen tok sommerferie ble nominasjonene til the World illustration awards offentliggjort. Mariken Steen er nominert i kategorien Illustration for Design / Advertising for identitetsdesign og brand illustrations for smykkemerket T-Raw jewellery. Illustrasjonene skal reflektere motstridende impulser fra moteindustrien, med et uttrykk som er både iøyenfallende, eksklusivt og rått – inspirert av samlinger av metalldetektorfunn hvis estimerte pris som regel forblir uviss. Arbeidet vant også gull og Grand prix i Sterk reklame Stavanger høsten 2014.
World Illustration awards arrangeres av the AOI (Association of illustrators, UK) sammen med Directory of illustration, US. "For nearly four decades, the AOI has presented the most comprehensive and significant awards for illustration in the UK. Now, for the first time in its history, the organisation welcomes an international partner, the Directory of Illustration, to create the World Illustration Awards.
